Leeds City College are recruiting for a Functional Fitness Coach to join our Public Services team.
About Us
The School of Public Services at Leeds City College supports over 400 students on courses from Level 1 to Level 3, preparing them for careers in the uniformed services, including the police, fire service, and armed forces.

Prepare students for physical entry requirements for the police, fire, military, and other services.
Teach how functional exercise benefits both physical and mental health, building confidence and resilience.
Create engaging session plans using bodyweight, free weights, and movement-based drills (sleds, carries, circuits, etc.).
Build strong relationships with learners to motivate them, improve confidence, and support progression.
Collaborate with teaching staff to set learner targets and track progress.
Support enrichment activities, trips, and wider Public Services curriculum events.
Qualified fitness professional (Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 PT, or equivalent).
Experience delivering group-based, functional training (CrossFit, circuit training, or similar styles).
Passion for working with young people and inspiring the next generation of uniformed service recruits.
Adaptable and supportive, able to tailor sessions for mixed abilities and confidence levels.
(Desirable) Background in the armed forces, emergency services, or sports coaching.
