Level 3 Apprenticeship Rates:
Under 18 years – £15,144 per annum
18-20 years – £19,871 per annum
21+ years – £23,555 per annum
Are you passionate about supporting learners and gaining valuable classroom experience? Do you have knowledge or working practice in health and social care? Leeds City College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will support teaching staff in delivering a high-quality educational experience while working toward your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Our Health Science and Social Care Department offers a broad range of courses, helping students develop the skills and knowledge they need for a successful career in the health and social care sectors. We work collaboratively to ensure that all our students receive the guidance and encouragement necessary to achieve their goals.
What You Will Do
- Work directly with students to support their learning and development needs.
- Provide short-term classroom cover under supervision.
- Observe and record student progress, offering feedback to teaching staff.
- Support individual or small groups with emotional and educational development.
- Assist in the delivery of learning activities and the use of learning aids and equipment.
- Participate in educational visits and support pastoral care activities.
- Develop and maintain classroom displays and learning resources.
- Carry out routine administrative tasks and support assessment processes.
- Support students accessing the learning environment..
- Assist with support for primarily L3 and T-Level Health students.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Attend meetings and training to stay informed of college priorities and policies.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality & diversity, and health & safety standards.
- Maintain appropriate records and ensure tracking through ProMonitor.
