How you\’ll make a difference
You will deliver independent, enterprise-wide oversight of operational risk, ensuring consistent application of the risk management framework, early identification of emerging risks, and clear, timely insight for senior stakeholders. Appropriately deliver relevant regulatory submissions.
What will you bring to the role?
- Experience in operational risk, internal audit, or controls assurance within financial services, fintech, or another regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of UK and EU operational-risk requirements (CRR, CRD V, PRA Rulebook, FCA SYSC).
- Practical experience of risk assessment techniques, control testing, data analysis, and incident investigation.
- Proficiency with risk systems (e.g. RisKonnect) and visualisation tools such as Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risk concepts and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or hold an equivalent professional qualification is desirable (IRM Certificate, CISA, or similar risk/audit qualification).
