How You’ll Make a Difference
You will lead credit risk forecasting and stress testing initiatives, working closely with Finance and Commercial to ensure the Corporate Plan stays within risk appetite. You’ll develop and lead a team of high‑performing credit risk specialists and drive a culture aligned to The Society’s behaviours. Champion the use of data‑driven solutions to optimise risk, reward and operational efficiency.
What Will You Bring to the Role?
- Experience of managing and developing a professional team to high performance standards.
- Strong experience in credit risk management, including portfolio analysis, forecasting and stress testing.
- Deep understanding of IFRS9, ICAAP and financial planning processes and experience delivering stress testing/ICAAP exercises.
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry and associated regulatory landscapes.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and uncertain environment, making sound judgments under pressure.
- Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insight.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance risk, return and customer considerations.
