You will lead the programme of second line assurance and compliance monitoring over prudential risk management and assessments, ensuring the Society maintains a sustainable risk profile aligned with its strategy, risk profile and regulatory requirements.
What will you bring to the role?
- Strong, visible people leader who role models, cares, connects and coaches to drive performance, change, positive engagement and deliver against challenging objectives.
- Strong technical understanding of capital, liquidity, funding and balance sheet risk management within financial services.
- Extensive experience of ICAAP/ILAAP/Recovery Planning processes in banks or building societies.
- Experience of developing and implementing assurance frameworks and plans.
- Experience of preparing committee-level papers and presenting complex risk topics to senior leaders.
- Strong understanding of key regulatory expectations for prudential risk (e.g. PRA rulebook and supporting policies).
- Ability to challenge senior stakeholders effectively and constructively.
