Leeds Bradford Airport is one of the UK’s fastest-growing regional airports, and we’re committed to employing high-quality people who share our ambition and dedication to excellent customer service. In this vital frontline role, you’ll embody our values to Be the Best, Work as One Team and Do the Right Thing as we continue to grow and prepare for our brand-new security area opening in summer 2026.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the airport experience, helping passengers begin their journeys safely and confidently. You’ll work within a supportive, close-knit team who look out for one another and take pride in delivering a smooth, welcoming security process. This is not a typical security officer role. While keeping our passengers and airport secure is essential, delivering an exceptional customer experience is equally important. You’ll play a key part in creating a calm, friendly and efficient environment, helping passengers feel informed, reassured, and well looked after as they move through security.
Your shift pattern follows a steady rhythm of 4 days on, 4 days off, working 21 hours per week. As part of our 24-hour operation, you’ll rotate between early shifts from around 3am and later shifts from around 12pm, however, start times will vary so some flexibility is needed to support peak passenger flows. Many colleagues value this predictable structure, which makes planning life outside of work easier.
You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as we prepare for our brand-new security area opening in summer 2026, bringing modern spaces, upgraded facilities and cutting-edge technology. Whether you’re guiding passengers, operating state-of-the-art 3D screening equipment, conducting searches, or working closely with teammates across the operation, you’ll help create a positive experience for millions of travellers every year.
