We are seeking to appoint a permanent Senior Research Fellow in Psychometrics. This is a new post developed to support the delivery of a new research unit at Leeds Beckett University dedicated to the development and application of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for supporting the delivery and analysis of PROM-related activities using psychometric and statistical methods. A high level of statistical competency in a range of classical and modern psychometric approaches is essential. It is anticipated that the Senior Research Fellow will undertake a senior role within the administration and management of the new PROM unit as Deputy Director to facilitate the growth and dissemination of the unit.
In addition to undertaking psychometric analyses, it is expected that the Senior Research Fellow will also contribute to the generation of new funding applications, writing and dissemination of project outputs, liaising with internal and external research colleagues and partners. Some supervision of postgraduate research students at MSc and doctoral level is likely. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who will work effectively with the team of psychologists at Leeds Beckett University. The candidate will be located within Psychology in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
You will have an undergraduate degree and PhD in psychology or in a related statistical area and be a highly competent data scientist. A strong track record in using both modern and classical psychometric methods at an advanced level is essential. Experience in applying novel and advanced statistical methods such as in AI, and machine learning is also highly desired.
