Leeds School of Architecture is part of Leeds School of Arts at Leeds Beckett University and delivers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Landscape Architecture. Leeds School of Architecture questions what it means to practise architecture by testing and expanding architecture’s possibilities and responsibilities within society, across cultural systems, and in relation to shared environmental and ecological challenges.

We seek to appoint a part‑time hourly paid Studio Tutor to develop and deliver design modules, working as part of a teaching team on the following courses:

  • BA (Hons) Interior Architecture
  • BA (Hons) Architecture
  • Integrated Master of Architecture

The successful applicant will have research‑informed teaching experience and a demonstrable record of delivering projects and working collaboratively within a team. The role is available from 15 September 2026 to 30 June 2027 and involves teaching one day per week during Semesters 1 and 2 at our City Campus. The role holder will contribute to the teaching preparation, delivery and assessment of design studio modules within our undergraduate courses.

We are interested in appointing academics with recent practice experience, and practising architects, on a part‑time hourly paid basis to lead a studio group and contribute as part of a design studio teaching team.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience successfully developing and delivering research‑informed design studio briefs.
  • Experience delivering tutorials, seminars, and lectures.
  • Experience of assessment and feedback, including a range of assessment methods such as design reviews, portfolios, and other forms of assessment.
  • Knowledge and experience of architectural practice.
