Are you an experienced payroll and pensions professional? We are seeking a Payroll and Pensions Manager to lead the full payroll lifecycle and oversee the administration of our defined benefit pension schemes. Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR, you will ensure the delivery of an accurate, timely, and compliant payroll service while maintaining high standards of governance and statutory compliance.
In this role, you will provide expert advice on payroll and pension matters, review and improve related policies, and ensure processes remain effective, efficient, and legally compliant. You will lead and support the payroll team, build productive relationships across the organisation, and offer clear informed guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
You will be an organised and solutions focused professional, confident in analysing data and managing complex projects. You will have experience contributing to system or software developments and implementing successful process improvements.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience managing payroll in a large, complex organisation
- Strong HR and payroll systems expertise
- Knowledge and practical experience of defined benefit pension schemes
- Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Experience with MHR iTrent is desirable but not essential
