Leeds Beckett University is expanding its computer science research. Among others, it has a long‑term collaboration with the South‑West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SWYT) to use digital technologies and AI to transform the Trust’s delivery of its adult ADHD and Autism services; participates in the EU‑funded project THIRDWAVE on neurosymbolic AI and Large Language Models; and has a portfolio of applied AI research in health, finance, environment and business.

We invite you to apply for a 12‑month fixed‑term Research Officer position to help deliver on a funded collaboration with SWYT. Duties could include, among others:

  • Analyse data
  • Maintain and develop digital tools
  • Write scientific papers
  • Present at conferences

Employment Terms

Job sharing is possible. If you are interested in a fractional appointment lower than 0.5 FTE, please indicate that clearly in your application. You will join the School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Computing based at our Headingley Campus and contribute to the delivery of our research into AI.
