This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing at Leeds Beckett University as a Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence.
We are seeking an ambitious and research active individual to support the school's growing cross disciplinary research activities in Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies. The school has established significant expertise and a strong track record in AI related research, including externally funded projects, interdisciplinary collaborations, and impactful research addressing major societal and industrial challenges across areas such as health, digital systems, business, environment, and intelligent technologies.
Current activities include collaborative research with healthcare providers on the use of AI and digital technologies to support service transformation, participation in nationally and internationally funded research projects, and the development of innovative approaches in areas such as machine learning, neurosymbolic AI, intelligent systems, and data driven technologies.
The successful candidate will contribute to the further development of this research area through high quality publications, collaborative funding applications, interdisciplinary research activities, and engagement with academic and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience
- A completed PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong research expertise in AI and digital technologies.
- A strong publication profile in internationally recognised journals and conferences.
- Experience contributing to collaborative research and funding applications.
- The ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary research environments.
Particular interest will be given to candidates with evidence of high quality research outputs and emerging research leadership within AI related research domains.
