We are looking for Information Resources Officers to join our new Resources and Discovery Team. The Team ensure that students, researchers and staff have the teaching, learning and research content they need. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across all aspects of learning resources (digital and print books, journals, databases, reading lists) and the systems students use to access them. Resource acquisition, data usage and user support are all key elements of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to resource acquisition, data usage and user support as key elements of the role.
  • Support students, researchers and staff in accessing teaching, learning and research content across digital and print resources.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Enthusiastic self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with problem-solving, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and high attention to detail.
  • Previous relevant experience is useful; a comprehensive induction and training programme will be provided.

Working Arrangements

The role holder will work at both Headingley and City Campuses, and this role is suitable for a mixture of on-campus and hybrid working. Working arrangements are dependent on the job role, team and University requirements and will be discussed with candidates at interview.

Contract and Hours

1 x Part-time role (0.7 FTE, Permanent) and 1 x Full-time role (Fixed term maternity cover for approximately 12 months).
