Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the high-performing Funding Support Team within Leeds Beckett University’s Research & Enterprise Service. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to support the delivery of externally funded projects and programmes across the university.

About The Role

It is an exciting time for the Funding Support Team, with an expanding portfolio of Research and Knowledge Exchange projects and implementation of a new system, this is your opportunity to get involved and support a range of activity across the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who can work across projects and collaborate effectively with a variety of team members. This is a fixed-term role until 31st December 2026. You’ll play a key role in supporting the financial and administrative delivery of research and knowledge exchange projects, ensuring that all documentation, audit requirements, and funding regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with attention to detail to support activity in line with internal and external rules and guidance including a range of financial and communication activities
• Support in the preparation and of financial documents and legal agreements
• Monitor project budgets and ensure all financial evidence and paperwork is completed by internal and external participants
• Ensure accurate and timely responses to queries both internal and external
• Liaise with colleagues across the university to support the delivery of complex, high value projects
• Support colleagues in the Funding Support Team to ensure project implementation is successful, efficient and achieves deliverables.

About You

This opportunity would be perfect for the person who enjoys a varied workload and is happy to provide a high degree of responsive support to a range of colleagues. You will be highly organised and be able to juggle projects at varying stages. You can proactively manage multiple responsibilities, with the ability to dip in and out of tasks seamlessly. It would be an advantage if you have worked in higher education before, or a similar large organisation where you were able to follow complex processes and understand the needs of the wider organisation.
