Leeds Beckett University seeks an Associate Director of Estates & Facilities to play a central role in shaping the future of its estate. This senior leadership appointment reports directly to the Director of Estates & Facilities and provides strategic and operational leadership across capital development, hard facilities management, statutory compliance, space utilisation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Estates Strategy.
  • Lead campus masterplanning and long‑term investment planning.
  • Manage capital development programmes and hard FM compliance.
  • Oversee space utilisation and property management across a multi‑building portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Deputy Director to support the Estates & Facilities directorate.
  • Provide leadership to high‑performing teams and communicate effectively across the university.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Background as an estates leader in a large, complex, high‑public‑footfall environment.
  • Track record of delivering estates capital programmes.
  • Knowledge of hard FM and estates compliance.
  • Experience in masterplanning, space and property management across multi‑building portfolios is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and collaborative mindset.
