Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Construction – Facilities Management

We are investing in our academic provision and are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in construction with a focus towards Facilities Management to join our team of experienced academic staff. We are looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic academic to make a key contribution to our academic provision through teaching, research and enterprise.

You will be able to teach and contribute to our research and enterprise portfolio in areas within the construction technology discipline, using industry experience to inform teaching. Our Surveying, Construction and Project Management group covers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses where you will be expected to take an active role in teaching in the subject areas.

We welcome applicants with a degree in a construction-related subject and either experience in practice or academia who have a good understanding of the issues facing the construction industry and how they are currently being dealt with in the area. A strong understanding of construction technology is desirable as the postholder will be expected to undertake teaching on the technology-related modules as well as other areas. Corporate membership or eligibility for corporate membership of a relevant professional body would be essential.

You will join the School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Computing based at our City Campus and contribute to the delivery of our growing undergraduate and postgraduate provision. There are extensive and excellent specialist facilities located in a setting which offers many additional amenities for our students and staff.
