Overview

Student Casework is a small, busy team with responsibility for a range of formal university processes including student complaints, academic appeals and student conduct. We’re looking for a Casework Co-ordinator to provide a high-quality service to our students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be a key point of contact, providing expert advice, support and guidance on the application of policies and procedures to staff and students; working closely with both academic and professional services colleagues at all levels to ensure that cases are resolved promptly and effectively; maintaining oversight of cases; monitoring how we’re meeting our service standards; and applying what we learn from cases for the enhancement of our processes and the student experience.
  • The post is available for a period of 12 months. Applications from University colleagues who wish to apply on a secondment basis are welcome.

Qualifications

  • We’re looking for someone with experience in a student-facing or customer service role. You’ll have skills in complaints or appeals handling, disciplinary cases or working at Faculty or School level in a university or college.
  • You’ll need to be a creative problem solver, able to think critically and to deliver high quality, accurate work, often to tight deadlines.
  • You will also have experience of dealing with complex and sensitive information and be able to communicate clearly, with tact and understanding, while remaining impartial and professional.
