The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

Freight Island is a forward-thinking venue, where talent-led food traders, distinctive bars and a curated programme of music and entertainment collide. We are looking for Bartenders to join the Freight team! You will need to be available for work Thursday - Sunday.

Our Bar Team play an essential part in our guest’s journey, keeping the service smooth, the drinks flowing and working hard to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the Freight Island experience. You will report into the Bar Supervisors & Bar Managers on duty and will be allocated stations of the bar to create a consistent and outstanding bar service. You MUST have weekend availability to be considered.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering drinks to a high spec and look
  • Setup and maintaining bar stations to an excellent standard
  • Working with the whole team to deliver the day to day running of the bar
  • Creating a fun, upbeat and welcoming atmosphere
  • Ensuring a high standard of service
  • Following H&S and any security specifics
  • Enforcing Challenge 25 and Licensing Rules
  • Ensuring daily and weekly cleaning schedules are complete
  • Supporting the floor team when bar service is quiet

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ bartending experience
  • Experience in a similar unique venue or nightclubs would be an advantage
  • Cocktail experience is desirable but not essential!
  • A can-do attitude and calm head when it gets busy
  • An infectious smile and outgoing personality to create a great buzz and customer experience
  • Phenomenal communication skills
  • Able to deliver high standards consistently
  • Fluent English (spoken and comprehension)
