The Facilities and Maintenance Operatives team supports building maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance, and security of university buildings, furniture and equipment. As a key holder you will ensure the estate is safe, secure and ready for use, and assist with the preparation and logistics for university events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance, repairs and planned maintenance tasks.
- Perform security checks and act as key holder on a rota basis.
- Support preparation and logistics for university events.
- Collaborate with the in‑house team and external contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a building support or maintenance role, or similar duties.
- Own transport to act as a key holder.
Desirable: trade background and event support experience.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 2 pm – 10 pm; Friday: 11 am – 6:30 pm. Includes a 1 week in 7 rotation of Friday 5 pm – 10 pm and Saturday 8 am – 6 pm.
