Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. With a history spanning over 170 years, we have contributed significantly to the development of arts education and have a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
We are now seeking an experienced and active professional with creative vision to lead, develop and promote our new undergraduate BA (Hons) 3D Design and Craft course. This is a unique opportunity to build a course from the ground up. Developing its identity, nurturing its ethos, and establishing it as a dynamic and distinctive offering within the University and the wider creative sector.
As Course Leader, you will work closely with the HE Director to design, deliver and organise the course, managing a course team to provide a dynamic and supportive environment. Teaching across all levels, you will also foster strong industry links, collaborate with external partners, and networks to create opportunities for student progression.
Educated to Masters level, with significant knowledge of the theory and practice of 3D design, contemporary crafts, and related disciplines, you will have experience and expertise in preparing students for a range of careers in the creative and cultural sector and broader related industries. You will be committed to supporting students in developing the practical, conceptual, and entrepreneurial skills needed for professional success in this diverse and evolving field.
