Site Manager

Due to continued growth and new contract awards, we are seeking an experienced Site based Installation Manager to join our team and take ownership of multiple large-scale PFP projects (£2–4 million) from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will have a proven background in fire protection, construction, or fire & security industries, with strong knowledge of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment systems.\\n\\nReporting to the senior management team, you will oversee both direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring that all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. You will act as the primary point of site contact for clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining strong commercial oversight, appreciation of project budgets, and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations and company procedures.\\n\\nThis role is ideal for a proactive, organised, and commercially aware professional with excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of driving project performance while maintaining Shellen’s commitment to compliance, traceability, and value for money.\\n\\nSkills and Experience\\n\\n * Proven experience as a Site Manager within the fire protection, construction, or fire & security industries.\\n\\n * Relevant Trade / PFP Qualifications and Certifications\\n\\n * Desirable to have recent experience of working in the Social Housing sector.\\n\\n * Strong understanding of fire-stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and containment.\\n\\n * Experience managing large-scale projects (£2–4 million).\\n\\n * Sound knowledge of fire regulations, FRA requirements, and passive fire protection systems.\\n\\n * Experience managing direct labour, agency and sub-contractors.\\n\\n * Excellent communication and organisational skills.\\n\\n * Stakeholder engagement\\n\\n * Commercially aware with the ability to manage budgets and contractual obligations.\\n\\n * Desirable to have a carpentry background, ideally with hands-on experience in fire door installation or remedial works.\\n\\n * Confident using IT systems, digital reporting tools, and mobile site applications
