A well-established, multidisciplinary contractor with a strong footprint across London and the South East is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join its specialist Facades & Cladding division. Role Overview
The Senior Surveyor will take full commercial responsibility across multiple facades and cladding projects, supporting early-stage design development through to final account. The position requires a deep understanding of façade systems, cladding remediation, and regulatory frameworks related to building safety and high-rise refurbishment. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial forecasting, provide detailed cost analysis, manage subcontract procurement, and maintain clear commercial reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial function across assigned façade and cladding projects, ensuring robust cost control and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, and variations.
- Oversee subcontract procurement processes, including tender reviews, negotiations, and contract administration.
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and technical specialists to monitor project progress and identify cost risks or opportunities.
- Produce and present clear commercial reports to senior management and client representatives.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, including building safety requirements and industry regulations.
- Support the development and mentoring of junior surveyors within the team.
