We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded electrical contractor delivering commercial CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects across Central London. The business specialises in high-quality commercial office fit-outs, working alongside leading main contractors, developers, and project management consultancies within some of the capital's most prestigious office buildings. With a strong pipeline of secured projects and continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their project delivery team with a capable and commercially aware Project Manager. Projects typically range from £250k - £3m electrical value and include full electrical installations within modern office environments. Works often involve fast-track programmes, high-specification finishes, and complex coordination within occupied or multi-tenant buildings.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing electrical packages from project handover through to final completion and client handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget. You will act as the key point of contact between the contractor, site teams, and client-side stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and ensuring the smooth delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the delivery of electrical packages on CAT A & CAT B commercial office fit-outs
- Coordinating with main contractors, consultants, and design teams
- Managing site teams including site supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors
- Overseeing project programmes, procurement, and resource planning
- Attending and leading progress meetings and coordination meetings
- Reviewing technical drawings and managing design coordination
- Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety standards
- Monitoring project progress and resolving site issues efficiently
- Managing project documentation including RAMS, reports, and commissioning records
- Overseeing testing, commissioning, and final handover
- Full office electrical installations
- Power and containment systems
- Architectural and commercial lighting installations
- Structured cabling and data infrastructure
- Fire alarm and life safety integration
- Energy-efficient lighting and smart building technologies
Work is predominantly based across Zone 1 and key commercial districts within Central London, often within high-end commercial office developments.
Candidate Requirements- Proven experience as a Project Manager within an electrical contracting environment
- Strong background delivering commercial office fit-out projects (CAT A & CAT B)
- Experience working with main contractors on Central London projects
- Solid understanding of electrical building services installations
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good commercial awareness and cost control capability
- Knowledge of construction health & safety regulations
- Relevant electrical qualifications (advantageous)
- SMSTS / SSSTS preferred
