The predicted salary is between 19200 - 25200 £ per year.
Our ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in a similar role and will principally be involved in assisting all solicitors and fee earners in the family department (private family caseload – divorce, finance, child arrangements and more, liaising with clients and courts). You will carry out all secretarial tasks and help where necessary with all administrative requirements including creating monthly invoices to be issued to clients. This role is based in our Chipping Norton office, although other office cover may be required from time to time. The Chipping Norton office is a high street office and reception is shared between the secretaries; as such, there will also be an element of client facing and reception work.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Secretary with Family Law experience
- Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Conducting AML and conflict checks, preparing forms, and maintaining case management systems
- Experience preparing court bundles using Adobe Pro
- Experience preparing court documents using laserforms
- Opening, closing, and managing client files in line with compliance procedures
- Diary management for the department fee earners and meeting rooms
- Opening and closing the office
Skills:
- Proven administrative experience with excellent organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy, ideally using BigHand
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written, verbal and face to face
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive information
