Lee Abbey London is a residence for international students in Kensington, London – staffed by a residential community of Christians who live a daily lifestyle of worship, prayer and service while \”communicating Christ through relationships\”. Lee Abbey London is an acknowledged Church of England community and is part of the wider Lee Abbey Movement.

Role Description
This is a full-time, live-in role. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team, including managing laundry services, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. The role involves supervising and training housekeeping staff, managing schedules, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Additionally, the Housekeeping Manager will handle customer service inquiries related to housekeeping and report any maintenance issues. All managers provide mentoring, spiritual and pastoral support to members of their team.
This role includes membership of the Lee Abbey London Christian community. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement that applicants must be Christian able to demonstrate active involvement in a local church.
Qualifications
Proven Supervisory Skills and experience in training and managing teams
Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety practices
Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
Experience in training and onboarding new staff
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A background in hospitality or similar industry is advantageous
