Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Welder role based in Bridgwater. The Welder will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, preparing materials, and performing welding operations to fabricate and repair metal structures, components, and equipment. The role includes inspecting workpieces for defects, adhering to safety standards, maintaining welding equipment, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines. Attention to detail and precision in the assembly of complex components is critical to this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques, along with the ability to work in compliance with relevant safety standards
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Skilled in metal fabrication, cutting, and assembly processes
- Knowledge of materials, such as steel and alloys, with the ability to select the appropriate welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights as needed
- Apprenticeship or certification in Welding or Metal Fabrication is preferred
- Previous experience in the oil, gas, or energy industry is an advantage
