Ledwood are currently recruiting at Hinkley Point C for experienced, qualified TIG/MMA Welders for night shift.
The Welding will form part of our work within the Arabelle steam turbine buildings, where we are installing equipment ranging from small 2Te pumps to a 2,440Te condenser. All applicants must meet strict competency, safety, and security requirements. Applicants must be willing and available to work nights.
RequirementsWelders:We are recruiting qualified TIG / MMA Welders who can achieve the appropriate weld codings and meet ISO welding standards.Required QualificationsCandidates should be qualified to ISO standards, including but not limited to:Butt weld – 2" carbon steel pipe – HL-L045 (6G) – TIG/MMAFillet weld – 2" carbon steel pipe to plate – PH (5G) – TIG/MMAStainless steel pipe weld – 2" – HL-L045 (6G) – TIG/MMAIn additionIt would be beneficial, however not essential that candidates are also qualified to:Fillet weld – 2” carbon steel pipe to plate – PH (5G) - FCAWTesting RequirementsBefore employment, you will be required to:Complete a weld test in PembrokeshireComplete an additional weld test and exam at Bridgwater CollegeAttend a short video interviewBasic Requirements for all positions:Valid CCNSG Safety Passport is mandatoryNVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship qualification requiredAll personnel must successfully complete BPSS clearance, including:DBS checkIdentification verificationYou must be able to provide:Competency certificatesRight to Work documentationAll personnel will also complete an onsite Medical for Safety critical works, working at height and confined spaces. Additional training for working at height / confined spaces will also be provided.Project SpecificsStart dates will be dependent on gaining your Site ClearanceLocation: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, SomersetHours: 10 hours per shift, 10 shifts on 4 shifts off£29.34 basic rate ph + potential £2.94 BonusNight-shift uplift: 22.5% on basic hourly rate only(Overtime after 38 hours)(Rate above Based on Grade 5 ECSA Site Agreement)(PAYE weekly paid ONLY)Lodge allowance £50.81 per night and or Travel Allowances are payable (All rates/ allowances are in line with the ECSA Site Agreement)
