Good with numbers and have an eye for detail? We’re looking for someone to join our busy Cashroom team in Aberdeen.

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused individual to join our Finance team as a Cashroom assistant.

Based in our Aberdeen office, you’ll be part of our busy Cashroom team, helping to manage client and firm funds, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function.

  • The duties for this role include
  • Processing client and firm financial transactions
  • Carrying out daily balancing and banking activities
  • Handling client receipts and payments
  • Processing cheque requests and online banking transactions
  • Supporting month-end procedures and reporting
  • Managing transactions relating to guardianship accounts, client deposit accounts and powers of attorney
  • Assisting with process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the Cashroom team
  • Supporting compliance with internal controls and legal accounting requirements

Skills

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with numbers and financial information
  • A well-organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • A commitment to delivering a high standard of work and service
  • Previous experience in finance, accounts or a cashroom environment would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

We’re also keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate the right skills and attitude, along with a willingness to learn.

You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team, with the opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a busy finance function.
