We're looking for a billing administrator to join our finance team in Aberdeen. At the heart of every successful law firm is a high-performing business support team, and our Billing function plays a vital role in keeping the firm running smoothly and efficiently.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Billing administrator to join our team, where you will be a key contributor to the firm’s financial operations and client service delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment where your expertise will be valued, your ideas welcomed, and your work directly supports the success of our lawyers and clients alike.

Duties

  • Managing billing processes, including preparing and issuing fee invoices, investigating billing queries and disbursements.
  • Supporting matter administration, including matter closures, WIP and cost write-offs and reviewing historical balances.
  • Providing billing support and training across departments.
  • Assisting with client ledger and invoice administration.

In this role you’ll receive day-to-day support within a collaborative and supportive team.

Skills

  • Experience across accounts payable, purchase & sales ledger, billing and general accounting duties.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good numeric skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels within the firm.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft software (eg Excel and Word).
  • Ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload and ensure all deadlines are met.
