We are building the next-gen core banking ledger that processes millions of transactions with ultra-low latency and absolute reliability. As our DevOps Engineer, you will own the infrastructure and deployment systems that keep our platform running 24/7 while we scale. Your mission: build bulletproof infrastructure, automate everything, and ensure our banking platform meets the reliability and security standards that financial institutions demand.
What You’ll Do
Build & Maintain Cloud Infrastructure
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure (ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, ALB/NLB)
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or Pulumi for repeatable, version-controlled deployments
- Configure and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Design network architectures with proper security boundaries, VPC isolation, and security groups
- Manage encryption, key management (AWS KMS), and secrets management systems
Deliver Robust CI/CD & Deployment Systems
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
- Implement automated testing, security scanning (SAST/DAST), and vulnerability detection in pipelines
- Configure container registries (ECR) with image scanning and vulnerability management
- Design deployment strategies with proper approval workflows and rollback procedures
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments
- Ensure deployment processes support rapid iteration while maintaining stability
Drive Observability & Incident Response
- Implement comprehensive monitoring using DataDog and/or CloudWatch
- Design alerting strategies and on-call rotations using PagerDuty or Opsgenie
- Build centralized logging infrastructure (CloudWatch Logs, ELK stack, or similar)
- Create dashboards and metrics for system health, performance, and business KPIs
- Develop incident response runbooks and disaster recovery procedures
- Lead post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures
- Optimize application performance and infrastructure costs
Ensure Security & Compliance Readiness
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Configure audit logging (CloudTrail) and maintain compliance evidence
- Work with compliance platforms (Sprinto/Delve) to automate evidence collection
- Support SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certification efforts
- Implement least-privilege access controls and IAM policies
- Conduct security reviews of infrastructure changes
- Manage vulnerability scanning and remediation processes
Collaborate & Enable Engineering Teams
- Partner with software engineers to optimize application deployment and performance
- Provide infrastructure support and troubleshooting for development teams
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Share knowledge through internal documentation and technical guidance
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical planning
- Champion DevOps best practices and infrastructure automation
Core Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience with production systems at scale
- AWS expertise: Deep knowledge of core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, KMS)
- Container orchestration: Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes (ECS or EKS)
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong proficiency with Terraform or Pulumi for managing cloud infrastructure
- CI/CD mastery: Experience building robust pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
- Monitoring & observability: Hands-on experience with DataDog, CloudWatch, or similar platforms
- Scripting & automation: Proficient in Python, Bash, or Go for automation tasks
- Security-first mindset: Understanding of cloud security, encryption, IAM, and compliance requirements
- Incident management: Experience with PagerDuty/Opsgenie and on-call rotation practices
- Strong collaborator: Excellent communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams
- Availability: Able to commit 40 hours/week with overlap during core hours (UTC to UTC+3)
