About The Role
We’re developing an ultra-scalable, real-time core banking ledger platform for banks and fintechs. We’re looking for an accountant who can bridge accounting, product development, and go-to-market strategy. You’ll ensure our postings and ledger logic align with IFRS/GAAP, support onboarding of new financial products, and help translate accounting complexity into product clarity. As we grow, this role can evolve into finance leadership, product ownership, or strategic commercial roles — ideal for someone ambitious and currently expanding their skillset (e.g. through an MBA).
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers to embed correct accounting and control logic in the ledger platform.
- Review and validate posting templates, journal logic, and event flows for compliance and accuracy.
- Research accounting standards and industry practices for new product features.
- Test and provide feedback on new accounting functionality before release.
- Support onboarding of new clients and products into the platform.
- Assist GTM and partnerships teams with accounting and regulatory insight.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure alignment with IFRS/GAAP.
- Contribute to product and market research projects across the company.
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- 3+ years’ accounting experience, ideally within financial services or fintech.
- Deep understanding of double-entry accounting and core ledger operations.
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable working with product and engineering teams.
- Interest in technology, data, and modern financial infrastructure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
