Headquartered in Paris and Vierzon, with offices in the UK, US, Switzerland, and Singapore, Ledger has a team of more than 600 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 5 million units already sold in 180 countries.

At Ledger, we embody the values that make us unique: Pragmatism, Audacity, Commitment, Trust, and Transparency. Have a look at our Origins video here .

The mission of the QA Engineering team at Ledger is to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-level quality products. As in the dev teams, we’re organized by system, channel or mission; it’s easy for devs to get tunnel vision and optimize for their area, sometimes at the expense of the overall experience.

This is where the QA Engineering team comes in.

Its role is about providing a defense line against bad user experience, loss of money, loss of time, and business reputation, ensuring that we always stay within the guard rails we built for ourselves.

This is done via two activities:

  1. By monitoring quality indicators and keeping engineering and product accountable
  2. By testing the produced output to assess the quality as a user

As a QA engineer embedded in one or more product teams, you will be responsible for establishing the test strategy for upcoming features, helping the team execute the tests, and contributing to writing automated tests.

The mission

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, write, maintain and run functional and regression tests
  • Desktop and mobile testing
  • Manage tasks and testing scope for multiple testing projects
  • Proficient with testing process and techniques; perform continuous regression testing
  • Participate in bug management in Jira
  • Identify, record, document and track bugs
  • Actively participate in all aspects of QA in agile meetings with product and Devs
  • Review requirement specifications and technical design documents
  • Technological watch on testing tools and methodologies

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in QA
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (TestRail, Xray, Squash, …)
  • Proficient with the terminal, shell script, git; good understanding of CI/CD environments.
  • Can write automated tests in Javascript using Playwright or Detox
  • Strong ability to adapt, learn and develop technical skills
  • Autonomous and well organized (documentation and prioritization skills)
  • Ability to work on several and complex projects at the same time
  • Experience testing on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
  • Tech-oriented, resourceful and curious
  • Strong communication skills

Bonus points

  • Experience with native applications
  • Interested in test automation
  • Interested in blockchain technology and web3
