Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced omnichannel activation leader to oversee the agency's media buying function, establish activation best practices, and drive executional excellence across paid media.

This role combines deep hands-on knowledge of media activation with strategic leadership, ensuring campaigns are delivered to the highest standard while continuously evolving processes, capabilities, and ways of working.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across the full digital media ecosystem, understands how channels work together throughout the customer journey, and can confidently translate business objectives into sophisticated activation strategies.

They will lead a team of activation specialists, partner closely with media strategy, analytics, and client leadership, and help shape the future of the agency's activation offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Activation Leadership
  • Lead the agency's activation function across paid search, paid social, programmatic, ABM, content syndication, CTV, digital audio, DOOH, and emerging media channels.
  • Establish and continuously evolve activation best practices, governance, quality standards, and operational processes.
  • Ensure consistent executional excellence across campaign planning, trafficking, optimization, measurement, and reporting.
  • Develop scalable ways of working that improve efficiency, quality, profitability, and delivery.
  • Media Strategy & Execution
  • Translate business objectives into integrated omnichannel activation strategies that balance brand building and performance outcomes.
  • Provide strategic oversight of campaign architecture, audience strategy, bidding approaches, budget allocation, testing roadmaps, and optimization frameworks.
  • Review and approve media recommendations, investment strategies, measurement plans, and activation deliverables.
  • Ensure media plans leverage appropriate channels, formats, and technology to maximize performance across the full funnel.
  • Platform & Technical Expertise

Maintain deep working knowledge across leading media and marketing technology platforms, including:

  • Google Ads, Microsoft Ads
  • Linked In, Meta, Reddit
  • Demand-side platforms (Stack Adapt and other DSPs)
  • Content Syndication platforms
  • ABM platforms including 6sense and Zoom Info
  • Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and measurement frameworks
  • Provide Leadership On
  • Campaign architecture and account structures
  • Conversion tracking and tagging
  • Pixel implementation and QA
  • UTM governance
  • Attribution methodologies
  • Budget management and billing processes

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing activation team across multiple disciplines and geographies.

  • Commercial & Agency Growth
  • Support new business pitches through activation strategy, channel recommendations, media planning, and commercial solutions.
  • Partner with platform vendors to identify innovation opportunities, training, beta programs, and commercial partnerships.
  • Contribute to agency product development by evolving activation capabilities, delivery models, and service offerings.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform developments, privacy changes, AI capabilities, and emerging media opportunities.
  • Required Experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading paid media activation across multiple digital channels.
  • Deep expertise across performance marketing and brand media activation with a strong understanding of full-funnel planning.
  • Proven experience developing omnichannel media strategies spanning search, social, programmatic, ABM, content syndication, video, CTV, audio, and emerging channels.
  • Strong technical understanding of campaign implementation, tracking, tagging, attribution, measurement, and platform architecture.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing activation teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes, establish best practices, and scale delivery models.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting business growth, media investment decisions, and client profitability.
