Description

We’re looking for a copywriter who wants to do outstanding B2B work. The kind of work that gets under the skin of gnarly problems and reframes them in a way that’s never been done before. The kind of work that doesn’t just get results for a client but helps them explain themselves better. The kind of work that makes people say things like ‘Oh, I get it now’ and ‘I’ve never thought of it like that.’

And to do that kind of work, we need someone who knows copywriting isn’t just about words. It’s about strategy – solving real marketing problems for complex businesses. It’s about getting on the front foot with clients – not just waiting for briefs to arrive but encouraging them to go beyond what they think they want. And it’s about working as a team – slotting into a small‑but‑perfectly‑formed creative unit to do all that outstanding work together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking briefs from clients, account people and planners
  • Researching clients, products, and markets through interviews, downloads, calls, and all the desk research your favourite search engine allows
  • Suggesting compelling content topics, issues, stories and turning those ideas into executions
  • Joining ideation sessions to present ideas to clients to help them go beyond the ordinary
  • Working and communicating with design and web teams to turn what’s in your Word docs into visually appealing content
  • Writing, editing, and proofing copy
  • Reading, advising, and approving copy for other people in the business
  • Managing revisions and feedback with clients and account teams

You Need

  • At least four years’ experience of writing creative, compelling technical and promotional content, preferably in B2B.
  • A portfolio (or a bunch of examples) of content you’ve written.
  • Experience of working with internal teams to get things done.
  • An opinion of what outstanding looks like in copywriting.
  • Experience briefing, review and approval processes and systems.
