Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse Operator role based in Ashford. The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for receiving and unloading deliveries, checking goods against documentation, and ensuring accurate storage and labeling of products. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and packing orders for shipment, operating material handling equipment and forklifts, and organizing inventory to maintain an efficient and orderly warehouse. The role also involves following health and safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and collaborating with colleagues to meet dispatch deadlines and support smooth warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Practical warehouse skills, including unloading and material handling, with attention to accuracy and care.
• Experience in packing and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring products are correctly labeled and secured.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; forklift certification is an advantage.
• Strong awareness of health & safety standards and willingness to follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Good organizational skills, reliability, and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for handling documentation, stock counts, and order records.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is beneficial.
