Be the face of great service in one of Exmouth’s most exciting venues. We’re looking for a warm, energetic Customer Service Assistant to join the team at The Engine Room Sports Bar, based within Ocean Exmouth. With its lively atmosphere, big match days, great food and drinks, and stunning seafront setting, The Engine Room is all about bringing people together and you’ll play a key role in making every visit a great one.

In this role, you’ll be welcoming guests, taking and serving food and drink orders, and delivering friendly, attentive service from start to finish. Whether customers are visiting for live sport, a social catch‑up or a relaxed drink, you’ll help create a welcoming, upbeat environment where everyone feels looked after. You’ll work closely with your teammates to keep service running smoothly during busy periods and special events, pitching in wherever needed to support the wider team.

You’ll feel confident talking through menu options, drinks and ingredients, helping guests make the right choice for their visit. You’ll also take pride in maintaining high standards across the venue, keeping tables clean, resetting spaces promptly and ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.

This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and working with people. Barista training or experience is preferred, and previous hospitality or customer service experience is beneficial, though not essential. More important is a positive attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll be adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic about being part of a growing, supportive team. Due to licensing laws, applicants must be 18 or over.
