We're looking for an experienced and motivated Box Office Team Leader to join the team at Exmouth Pavilion. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a busy box office at the heart of a vibrant events programme, where no two days are the same. What you'll be doing

You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the box office, ensuring everything runs smoothly while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting the Box Office Team to deliver high standards of service
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for customer and team queries
  • Managing ticket sales, bookings, and box office systems
  • Monitoring performance and supporting sales to maximise revenue
  • Supporting event delivery, working closely with front‑of‑house teams
  • Overseeing financial processes including cash handling and reconciliations

You will also step in to support the Programming & Events Coordinator when needed, helping manage bookings and ensuring continuity across the events programme.

Ideal candidate

  • Experience in a customer‑facing role (box office, events, leisure or hospitality)
  • Strong leadership or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Confidence using ticketing or booking systems
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and ability to work under pressure

Experience in a theatre, events or entertainment setting would be a big advantage, but isn't essential.

Required qualifications / certifications

  • First Aid at Work
  • Fire Marshal qualification
