About the Exeter LED Facility
The Exeter site marks the latest addition to the LED Leisure family. The new facility will feature a fully equipped gym and exercise studio and is part of our plans for further growth and development.
Role: Duty Fitness & Wellbeing Coach
As Duty Fitness & Wellbeing Coach, you will be instrumental in the set-up and smooth running of the club, helping to shape its culture and services from the very beginning. Supporting the Leisure Manager, you\’ll lead the daily operations of the club, guiding a team of Personal Trainers, Group Exercise Instructors, and fitness staff. You\’ll be responsible for member tours, inductions, programme reviews, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. This varied role includes evening and weekend shifts and will occasionally involve working independently.
- Assist in launching the club by supporting policy development, marketing, and recruitment efforts
- Deliver and oversee fitness, wellbeing, and leisure activities to ensure an outstanding customer experience
- Promote and manage memberships, conducting tours and consultations with prospective members
- Act as the duty manager during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and safe operation of the facility
- Oversee emergency responses, first aid provision, and health & safety protocols
- Lead hands-on activities, including member inductions, personal training sessions, and group exercise classes
Qualifications
- Essential: Level 2 Fitness Qualification (or willingness to complete), previous supervisory experience in a leisure or fitness setting, and a proactive, customer-focused attitude
- Desirable: First Aid certification, Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification, experience with Health & Safety and Leisure Management best practices
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
