About the Role: As a Chef at Exeter Airport, you’ll be instrumental in delivering seamless kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing and presenting mouth-watering dishes, supporting daily production across all food outlets, and upholding superior standards of food safety and consistency. Your expertise will help shape the experience for every traveller passing through one of the South West’s busiest airports.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Crafting, cooking, and presenting food to our brand’s high standards.
- Managing stock rotation, storage, temperature monitoring, and minimising wastage.
- Maintaining spotless kitchen environments and safe equipment use.
- Setting the standard as a role model for both kitchen and service staff.
- Offering guidance and fostering a positive, energised team culture.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and cleanliness regulations.
- Contributing to new menu ideas and supporting operational enhancements.
We’re Looking For…
Essential
- NVQ Level 2 or BTEC in Professional Cookery/Hospitality (or equivalent qualification).
- At least one year’s experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong understanding of hygiene regulations and safe food handling.
- Proficiency in stock control and kitchen organisation.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Desirable
- Level 2 Food Safety certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Familiarity with menu planning and cost management.
