At The Deck Restaurant, we're passionate about creating memorable experiences, and we're looking for a Restaurant Team Leader who shares that passion. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of East Devon's most popular dining destinations, helping to create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

What You'll Be Doing

As Restaurant Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of the action. You'll lead by example during service, motivate the team, and ensure every customer receives a warm welcome and fantastic dining experience.

You'll:

• Lead and inspire the front-of-house team during busy service periods.
• Create a welcoming, professional, and engaging atmosphere for guests.
• Support the training, coaching, and development of team members.
• Help coordinate smooth and efficient lunch, dinner, and event services.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for both customers and colleagues.
• Encourage excellent product knowledge and confident recommendation selling.
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Support daily operational activities including stock control and cash handling.
• Resolve customer queries and feedback with confidence and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a positive and enthusiastic leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys helping others succeed.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience within a restaurant, café, bar, hotel, or hospitality setting.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to stay calm, focused, and professional during busy periods.
• A proactive approach and a willingness to support colleagues.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food, drink, and hospitality.
• A desire to grow your career and develop your leadership skills.
