Situated on Exmouth's stunning seafront, The Deck Restaurant is one of East Devon's most popular dining destinations.

With breathtaking views, a relaxed atmosphere, and a reputation for excellent food and service, we're looking for a Restaurant Team Leader to help lead our front-of-house team and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, supporting the management team and leading shifts to ensure smooth, efficient service.

Responsibilities include

  • Leading and supporting the front-of-house team during service
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences from arrival through to departure
  • Creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests
  • Supporting with team training, coaching, and onboarding
  • Coordinating busy lunch, dinner, and event services
  • Acting as a point of contact for customer queries and team support
  • Encouraging excellent menu knowledge and confident upselling
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service delivery
  • Supporting stock control, cash handling, and daily operational tasks
  • Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally and positively

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar, or hospitality environment
  • Experience supervising or leading a team
