Role Summary:

We are in search of an experienced Rail Design Lead to join our Infrastructure team in Liverpool. This position involves managing engineering and design activities for rail projects, ensuring they meet industry standards and project objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute engineering and design management strategies, tools, and processes for the project.

  • Collaborate with the project CEM to meet the engineering management plan\’s obligations.

  • Supervise designers and design packages to ensure adherence to rail standards, timelines, and budgets.

  • Oversee the execution of engineering and design tasks for designated work packages.

  • Monitor design progress and assist commercial teams in strategy development, pricing, and change management for your packages.

  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering and assuring design, construction, and project handover in accordance with rail sector standards.

  • Excellent collaborative skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to develop engineering management procedures and systems.
