Position in Langley, BC responsible for heavy equipment repair tasks.

  • Dismantle, inspect, diagnose, repair, and assemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
  • Conduct detailed inspections, perform failure analysis, and identify all repairs required for successful job completion.
  • Identify, measure, and prepare parts and material requirements for procurement.
  • Perform wet fluorescent magnetic particle (MPI) testing and accurately interpret results.
  • Operate honing equipment and understand various surface finish requirements and specifications.
  • Determine and verify tolerances based on operating pressures and application requirements.
  • Safely operate hydraulic power units and related testing equipment.
  • Review inspection reports and repair requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and work records.
  • Follow all company health and safe work practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry.
  • Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket, or a Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification.
  • Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing hydraulic cylinders is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license.

The base pay range for this role is: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience level. This is an onsite role based in Langley, BC.
