Purpose of the Job

To contribute to the maintenance of amenity garden areas on public housing estates to a consistently high standard.

Main Accountabilities

• Delivering a specified programme of green space watering across the JMB estates
• General gardening tasks including:
• Dead heading and pruning
• Weeding
• Occasional grass-cutting
• Take responsibility for the health and safety of self and others at all times
• Communicate with residents politely and in a way that upholds the JMB’s reputation.
• Other reasonable tasks as defined by the manager or Head Gardener in line with the role remit. May occasionally be required to support with estates cleaning tasks.

Job Context

Actual tasks will vary according to the growing season.

This role is physically challenging and will require the postholder to be outside in various weather conditions, to lift, bend, stretch, stand or walk for much of the day.
