By way of both outbound prospecting and inbound telephone calls along with email communications, work alongside the Retailer and Broker Network to ensure we deliver our new business and customer retention objectives. Establish strong relationships with the Retailer and Broker network, assisting them in the development of new sales opportunities by providing assistance with quoting, utilising campaigns, system queries etc.

Working closely with Retailers and Brokers, together with the Zone Managers and Broker Managers, to ensure renewal customers have been contacted and we maximise customer retention. By way of both outbound calling and email, respond to new enquiries in a timely, professional manner. Develop the opportunity through to conclusion involving Indirect Sales Support Manager, Zone Manager, Broker Manager and the Retailer / Broker Network.

Optimise the conversion of new business opportunities, in conjunction with other members of the Indirect Sales Team, by working proactively in order to increase penetration. Maximise Contract Hire business volumes via the Retailer and Broker Networks, through proactive calls to less engaged Retailers and efficient, effective and professional handling of all enquiries.

Increase the penetration of additional value adding products / services (e.g. Maintenance, Tyres, etc.), through effective modelling and presentation of quotations and identifying upselling opportunities. Build rapport with and be a dedicated point of support for the Retailer and Broker Network and act in conjunction with the Zone Managers and Broker Managers to develop new business, resolve queries and identify solutions.

Make recommendations on the strategic approach and evolution on growth and retention of each client (both internally and externally), ensuring the maximised profitability, whilst safeguarding the best offering for the customer. Undertake ad-hoc duties as required by Indirect Sales Support Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing an end to end support service to the Retailer and Broker Network to maximise every sales opportunity by providing quotations, agreeing support levels within allocated budgets and providing general assistance to aid Retailers and Brokers in finalising a sale.
  • Identifying opportunities of growth and risks of loss and passing these on to the relevant Zone Manager, Indirect Sales Support Manager or Broker Manager.
  • Develop the opportunities presented by incoming enquiries and leads by taking pro-active action in line with departmental measures; you will be responsible for quoting and taking the prospect through the sales process whilst ensuring Retailer profitability is taken into account; record accordingly.
  • Supporting Zone Managers and Broker Managers in the production of quotations, providing bespoke quoting facilities, including manipulation of the complex areas of the quote (fleet management services, RV’s, Manufacturer support / subsidy, etc.), within budgetary and departmental controls.
  • Maintain and develop up-to-date comprehensive product, system and process knowledge to act as a centre of expertise on contract hire to provide an effective service to the Retailer and Broker Network.
  • Provision of a dedicated ‘one stop’ service for Retailer and Broker Network, identifying their needs and acting to ensure they are satisfied, consistent with department quality standards and procedures.
  • Liaising with Brand contacts Retailers, Brokers or Service Suppliers as appropriate, producing tailored written responses, and ensuring all customers queries and disputes are resolved at the earliest opportunity.
  • Involvement and contribution to Retailer Network and Broker meetings (both virtually and in person), working alongside Zone Managers and Broker Manager to retain existing customers (through advocacy) and assisting in securing new customers.
  • Share with management, Retailer and Broker perceptions and comments, identify and analyse opportunities to improve processes, products and/or systems, providing recommendations and evidence to support proposed implementation.
  • Monitoring and completion of daily workflows within service level parameters.
  • Awareness and knowledge of current Contract Hire campaigns so that they can provide effective and accurate advice to the Retailer and Broker networks.
  • Awareness of compliance with various statutory and regulatory requirements, in particular FCA requirements, Treating Customers Fairly, disclosure of confidential information, money laundering and liaison with various regulatory bodies.
  • In the absence of team colleagues, provide a seamless customer experience for all the Retailer and Broker Network.

  • An understanding of the leasing industry and or banking norms and practices is desirable.

  • Ability to pro-actively problem solve and find solutions.
  • Ability to use Excel at intermediate level is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-based environment while retaining focus and accuracy.
  • Producing professional and tailored written communication to Retailers/ Customers.
