CAREERS IN LEASING
Our client, for whom we have successfully sourced over 50 staff across the UK, Germany, and Ireland, is seeking to strengthen their sales leadership team in their transport asset finance business unit. We are seeking a sales leader to lead a team of 6 external sales staff who are focused on the financing of both new and used transport assets of HGVs, LCVs, trailers, buses, coaches, and car fleets.
The position is focused on UK North, covering a sales area that broadly extends from a line of latitude from Birmingham North to the Scottish border. The role is centred on leading the team to achieve sales targets that are margin-based. As this is a dedicated sales leader position, you will carry purely an overall team target to deliver rather than a personal target plus the team target. The rationale is to ensure that the role's focus is 100% on leading each team to success by training, coaching, motivating, and developing staff to achieve success.
Candidate Profile
To apply for the role, you must have a background in leading external sales staff in the asset finance sector. This is non-negotiable; please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria. Ideal applicants will have experience of not only direct routes to the customer but also leading teams driving business via dealers. Knowledge of transport assets would be our client's preferred asset class background, but applicants that meet the above two criteria who do not have experience of transport assets but of other hard assets are very welcome to apply.
What you must have is a selfless attitude to leading your team to success. We are seeking those who have the ability to manage performance as necessary and are willing to invest time, energy, and effort to achieve this. You must also be willing to travel extensively across the sales area; the role will be contractually home-based with occasional visits also required to our client's local head office.
