Role Overview: We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts & Renewals Manager to join our Sales Operations Team. This hybrid role bridges sales operations and customer retention, with a core focus on managing contracts and securing renewals for our UK Blue Light (Fire, Police, Ambulance) customers. You'll work closely with Sales, CX (Customer Success), and Finance to ensure commercial terms are aligned with an agreed approach, that renewals are seamless, and customers are set up for long-term success. Key Responsibilities
- Contracts Management: Be a warm and engaging touch point for our customers, who care about having a named person to approach. A ‘telephone first’ attitude is always warmly received by the sector; Proactively manage account challenges and take ownership of the solution. Escalate any more complex conflicts to CX and Sales and be part of the communicated solution; A growth mindset! This role will come with a target; mostly around retentions and price corrections, but also around the identification of new upsell opportunities; Get to know the customers! We’re lucky to have a very welcoming customer base. A key requirement of the role is to understand their structure, stakeholders, decision-process and procurement processes; Review and manage standard commercial agreements, where necessary and appropriate; negotiate contracts, version control and manage contractual delivery; Ensure compliance with internal policies; Track and manage contract terms, renewal dates, and key clauses using our CRM; Collaborate with leadership on maintaining and updating contract templates.
- Renewals Ownership & Automation: Own the renewals process for all UK blue light customers, ensuring timely and successful renewals; Lead the design and implementation of a more automated renewals workflow via HubSpot CRM, including workflows, tasks, email templates, and reporting dashboards; Identify and eliminate manual bottlenecks in the current renewals process to improve efficiency and customer experience; Monitor and act on renewal risk signals; engage customers directly where needed; Partner with teams across the business (finance, CX) to define renewal touchpoints, notifications, and escalation paths; Report regularly on renewal rates, churn trends, and automation impact.
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in contract management, or a renewals/account management role (SaaS experience highly preferred);
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM, including workflow automation and reporting (desired);
- Strong working knowledge of SaaS contract terms and renewal cycles;
- A strong understanding of contractual risks is desirable. Someone who has experience reading contracts and understanding them;
- Knowledge or experience in the UK public sector - ideally blue light services;
- Experience of working in public sector procurement would be desirable;
- Must be highly organised and have a good attention to detail;
- LPG is a global company; any language skills would be beneficial;
- Excellent project management and process improvement skills;
- Customer-focused mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Comfortable working cross-functionally across finance, CX, sales, and operations. Must be a team player.
Role practicalities
- Full time role;
- Remuneration package consisting of salary between £45-55k annually (depending on experience);
- Location: UK (Remote); Some travel required to offices in Edinburgh and Delft (very occasional) and occasional customer visits;
- Department: Sales Operations;
- Reports to: Sales Operations Manager.
