Overview
PRELOADED is seeking a Lead 3D Artist to create and maintain the visual style and quality of all 3D assets for an immersive VR experience. Working directly with the Art Director, you\’ll own the 3D pipeline and asset creation process, bringing a compelling VR world to life.

Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Art Director to define and maintain a cohesive visual style for all 3D assets, ensuring consistency and high quality assets.
- Create high-quality 3D models and textures to be used in-engine.
- Ownership of the 3D asset pipeline, from initial modeling, texturing, material setup, and final integration into the game engine.
- Ensure proper asset management, strong organisation, consistent naming conventions.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Art and Development team to maintain model and shader requirements, optimise assets for engine performance, and troubleshoot technical issues where necessary.
- Work with Production and Art Director to accurately estimate workloads for 3D art tasks and ensure timely delivery of assets.

- Proven experience working as a 3D Artist in a 3D game environment.
- Exceptional 3D Artistry, a strong portfolio showcasing outstanding skills in 3D modeling, texturing and shading, with a keen eye for detail.
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional understanding of topology.
- Strong technical capabilities working within the engine, ability to optimise assets understanding of polycount and texture size limitations impacts.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is receptive to critical feedback.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, capable of clearly articulating ideas.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Unity in a professional game development setting.
- Understanding of Substance Painter.
- Experience working in Virtual World platforms.
- Experience developing VR games, understanding the unique technical and artistic challenges involved.
- Experience working with low-poly environments or characters.
