Team & Position Description
This is an exciting role within our highly collaborative Digital Marketing Team as our Social Media Executive. Leading our social media platforms, this role combines on‑ and off‑platform organic and paid for activity generation that will elevate our brand awareness within target markets. With strong organisational skills and an ability to multi‑task, you will have a desire to keep up‑to‑date with current trends and drive our social platforms forward with fresh‑thinking, engaging content for paid and organic execution.
What you’ll do day to day (responsibilities)
- Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you will be a key stakeholder in the escalation of our brand awareness through compelling and engaging content.
- Linking content to key campaigns, products and ad‑hoc events, you will ensure our platforms constantly appeal to target markets through a mix of mediums and formats, utilising data to extend reach through paid for activity.
- Influencer/UGC Management – Work with our digital agency to create an approved set of influencers to enhance our key campaigns, products and new launches alongside always‑on brand support, providing clear briefs and deadlines for the influencers to work to that allows for regular and consistent posting of content as well as ad usage opportunities.
- You will be responsible for approving and sharing the content in line with the agreed deadlines.
- Content – Create and execute an annual programme of content that will appeal and engage our key social audiences, while elevating our brand awareness on our key social media platforms.
- This should combine proven formats alongside the testing of new and emerging trends while also supporting our always‑on brand messaging, key campaigns and products and ad‑hoc events.
- A monthly report and commentary of key performances should be provided to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.
- Supporting international growth – Support the European agency in achieving Learning Resources’ European growth efforts through sharing content creation for brand consistency across territories.
- Data & Insights Reporting – Track social metrics, monitor competitors and affinity brands and gather best‑in‑practice posting and content trends to continuously drive Learning Resources social efforts forward.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination – Work closely with Brand, Sales, Amazon and US counterparts to align content creation needs and execution that will support cross‑platforms and timeframes.
- Communication – Be an active participant in regular team meetings, ensuring that the wider marketing team are kept up‑to‑date with key performing social activities and content.
- Coordinate and lead regular agency touch bases, reviewing influencer content and overlaying ad activity.

- Influencer/UGC content management: Support the increase in brand awareness through a robust influencer/UGC plan and execution that aligns with the quarterly and always on campaign themes, ensuring content is shared and promoted regularly through the campaign period.
- Organic Content: Grow the reach of our social content with continuous data reviews, monitoring reach and engagement, adapting future plans to reflect best performing and current trends.
- Paid Content: Increase our social views with a robust calendar of ad activity through utilising a mix of popular organic posts, well performing UGC activity and ad‑specific assets. Regularly review performance and optimise in line with campaign objectives.
- International agency support: Ensure the international agency have access to all campaign creative and influencer/UGC content creation to ensure brand consistency across territories.
- Budget Usage: Maximise the usage of budget limits to extend the reach of top performing content across key social media platforms.
