Blaze Signs Ltd is a well-established signage manufacturer dealing with the top retail companies in the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trainee Project Manager to support and assist in driving the successful execution of various projects within our organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project Management for Blaze Signs includes bespoke requests and tailored project management as every project is often unique. This bespoke service requires attention to detail and managing changing expectations.
  • You will demonstrate the confidence and ability to liaise and manage projects with clients and client representatives including main contractors, brand and design guardians, and quantity surveyors under the guidance and shadowing of your supporting colleagues where necessary.
  • You will be working as part of a customer-focused team with a team lead to report into on a day-to-day basis.
  • This role will require site visits and meetings, with a strong focus on project administration, system updates, and departmental collaboration.
  • A progressive and emerging understanding of drawing scopes and able to convert to Blaze specification. Training will be given.
  • Responsible for ensuring company lead times are adhered to and awareness of company capacity restraints when processing works into the system.
  • Manage customer expectations in line with realistic deliverables.
  • Responsible for taking ownership of correct data entry into the system and updating as changes occur.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Ensure Purchase order cover or written instruction with Director sign-off is visible at all times, updated as required with increases to ensure project profitability.
  • Learning to understand how commercials protect margin where under the PM's control and taking control where appropriate.
  • Learning about and applying project variation of cost increases where applicable and how they affect the business.

Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, capable of admin management, comfortable with developing client and internal stakeholder relationship building, and be competent in managing required timelines or conflicting deadlines.
