Guildford County School is seeking Progress Coaches to start in September 2026, to join this highly successful school, with an opportunity to work in our new provision for autistic children, The Loft, which opened in September 2025.
We are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to provide support for students, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all students. This exciting new way of working means that every day is different; it is not traditional in-class support. Our Progress Coach model enables students to receive excellent quality, bespoke provision.
You will develop a positive working relationship with your allocated students, enabling you to plan the best support for their academic and social progress. You will be approachable, calm, caring but firm.
Previous experience of working with teachers and supporting students is desirable although not essential. A high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential for this post, as is the enthusiasm to help raise the achievement of students. IT skills are essential.
